Community ecology is in constant pursuit of understanding how biodiversity is changing over space and time, but grasping this understanding is often a complex and abstract endeavor. Film photography offers a medium to explore and embrace this complexity. I use a range of approaches in insect collections, herbaria, and field exploration to create layered images of plant-insect interactions, insect communities, and address ecological questions pertinent to spatiotemporal dynamics.
