General
The Spencer Entomological Collection is housed along with five other natural history collections in the Beaty Biodiversity Museum at the University of British Columbia. Over half a million pinned specimens, 75,000 alcohol-preserved specimens and 25,000 specimens on slides showcase BC and the Yukon's spectacular insect diversity. The tour is designed for about 24 max. per group, split into two smaller groups upon arrival for a museum-wide tour (1 hour) and then an entomology collections tour (1 hour); the smaller groups would then “switch” tour leaders so that over the 2 hours they could attend both tours.
