Beneficial insect populations in caneberry production systems are understudied. As insecticidal inputs have dramatically increased due to invasive pest species, such as Spotted-wing Drosophila, there is concern about the negative impact on beneficial insects. Here we propose methods and strategies, using pollinators as a test subject, to better understand the non-target effects of pest management in North Carolina blackberry farms.
