The tarnished plant bug (Lygus lineolaris) is a significant economic pest of cotton across the Midsouthern U.S. With the introduction of ThryvOn cotton technology, management decisions will be significantly affected. Since many insecticide active ingredients are being re-evaluated by the EPA, it is important to understand how management strategies would be affected without these tools available to producers. Experiments are being conducted to better understand how this technology will be managed for the control of tarnished plant bugs with and without availability of common insecticide classes.
