Staphylinidae (Coleoptera) are the largest family of anything (63,000+ species). They are ubiquitous across the terrestrial landscape, the most numerous micro-predators in forests, contain hundreds of myrmecophiles, thousands of undescribed species, and are underutilized in ecological studies. High diversity, small size, and poor taxonomic clarity have hindered Rove Beetle studies.
