Functions/Events/Meetings
Since 1989, a growing number of entomologists have met for breakfast during the Entomological Society of America’s annual meeting to support, inspire, and retain women within entomology. The breakfast seeks to bring together women and allies from all career levels for discussion, mentorship, and innovation. This year’s breakfast will take a look at the progress for women since the establishment of this breakfast. There will be short presentations on the founding of the breakfast, the impact it has made on scientists, and a look into the future as we develop plans to strengthen our community. The event will provide networking opportunities and discussion about the best way to ensure the breakfast meets the needs of future women and allies in entomology.
*Complimentary for the first 200 student and early-career professional members who arrive to the breakfast event on Monday morning. We are also celebrating the ninth anniversary of student and early-career sponsorship at the breakfast by Corteva.
Additional fee applies to non-students and early career professionals:$31 USD/$38 CAD for the first 100 tickets sold, $37 USD/$46 CAD after the discount is exhausted and for on-site sales
