It is increasingly challenging to control arthropod pests and vectors of diseases in an effective, sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Rapid progress is made in the molecular field providing new opportunities to target arthropod populations. The symposium will introduce novel genetic tools and discuss their opportunities, constraints, and regulatory hurdles.
