World experts and early-career professionals will discuss evidence on the utility of honey bees and their hive materials for environmental biomonitoring of pollutants, pesticides and pathogens as well as emerging threats including antimicrobial resistance and climate change. Bee colonies can accumulate contaminants or respond without collapsing allowing for long-term monitoring.
