For the last 3 years University of Maryland and University of DE Extension have been conducting trials at commercial nurseries and greenhouse operations evaluating use of drones to apply low risk insecticides , fungicides, and bioinsecticides using a drone with a sprayer system. We have been working closely with Syngenta, Bayer, and BioWorks Companies in selecting appropriate material for the trials. We have dramatically reduced the amounts of water volume, manpower hours in applications and obtained effective control of key insects and diseases in commercial nursery operations. Results of our trials will be presented.
