The global market for biological-based insecticides is expanding rapidly. This is fueled by demands from consumers and policymakers for reduced chemical residues on food and in the environment, as well as by increased pest resistance.
Thanks to breakthrough technological advances in sequencing, functional genomics and high throughput microbial characterization, there is an exciting opportunity to improve the speed and efficiency of discovery for new microbial-based insecticides. Critical to success is the ability to integrate and analyze large volumes of complex, heterogeneous datasets that are collectively generated across these technologies.
By combining modern computational biology approaches with machine learning, at AgBiome we leverage a diverse array of data science capabilities to discover novel microbial solutions to manage insect pests and protect crop yields.
