As the lead state agency authorized and statutorily responsible for regulation of pesticides, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) has been involved in many of the legislative and executive actions to protect pollinators from pesticides. This talk outlines the MDA’s roles and responsibilities concerning pollinator protection and highlights some of the opportunities and challenges from a state agency perspective.
