Rasheda Persinger is the lead medical oncology nurse practitioner at the Sidney Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital of Johns Hopkins system. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Syracuse University and graduate degree from The Catholic University of America. She brings over 15 years of oncology care experience in both academia and community-based practices. Her experiences include solid tumors, hematological malignancies, bone marrow transplants, and managing patients in clinical research trials. She currently practices primarily within the thoracic oncology space. She stays abreast in symptom management and also values the holistic approach in adequately caring for the oncology patient.
