David Boruta, MD, is a Professor in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General hospitals in Boston. He completed his gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003. Dr. Boruta previously held academic appointments with Harvard Medical School, Tufts University Medical School, and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He relocated to Houston in 2019.
Dr. Boruta’s clinical and research expertise focuses on the development and incorporation of minimally invasive surgical techniques in women with gynecologic cancers. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
