Holly Chitwood, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, AGACNP- BC, began her career in the field of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. She earned a bachelor's of science in social work from the University of the Cumberlands in 2001. She completed an associate degree in nursing at Eastern Kentucky University in 2006 and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University in 2014. She completed a master's degree in nursing in 2015 at Lincoln Memorial University, a post-master's certificate at the University of Kentucky in 2017, and a doctorate in nursing in 2021 from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Chitwood is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, currently practicing as an APRN in Medical Oncology at the Markey Cancer Center, as well as an Assistant Professor in the doctoral acute care nurse practitioner program at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing.
