Christina Salas is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with 10 years’ experience in Oncology. She was born in Miami, Florida and lived many years in Colombia as a child. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Barry University. After graduation she worked at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston Florida as an Oncology Certified Registered Nurse on the inpatient unit. Christina then obtained her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Barry University and worked for the Memorial Hospital Breast Cancer Center in Hollywood Florida.
She then transitioned to work for the Moffitt Cancer Center Malignant Hematology Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program in partnership with the Memorial Hospital Healthcare system. There she worked as the head APP for their Malignant Hematology and BMT outpatient clinic. She was actively involved in the program’s growth for close to 4 years and took part in the first CAR-T cell transplant in Broward County. Christina was also actively involved in developing the programs clinical pathways and standard operating protocols.
She currently works for Janssen Pharmaceutical as a Medical Science Liaison supporting their GU Oncology portfolio in South Florida. Christina is a member of several professional organizations including JADPRO, APSHO, ONS and ASCO. She lives in Davie, Florida and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, going out to eat, enjoying Florida’s warm weather and outdoor activities.
