Ashley Sutherland, RN, MSN, AGACNP is currently a nurse practitioner in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO. She earned a BA in public health studies from Johns Hopkins University, while following the pre-medical track and playing intercollegiate soccer. She continued to work in various research settings, including working with opiate withdrawal patients, tobacco, allergy/asthma, and coordinating the Miner's Clinic at National Jewish Health in Denver, CO. She then obtained her BSN and MSN from Columbia University in New York City while working as an geriatric RN. Accepted into the Hospital Medicine Fellowship, she returned to University of Colorado Hospital to begin her career as a nurse practitioner. Once completing the fellowship, she was then offered a position on the inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. She continues to be involved in several committees including internal medicine and infectious disease, and has begun working to further expand the Sickle Cell Clinic at the University of Colorado Hospital.
