APP Clinical Director, Assistant Professor

Meredith Beaton, RN, MSN, AGACNP, is an Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine and the APP (advanced practice provider) Clinical Director in the Division of Hematology. After working for several years as a middle school teacher and researcher, she returned to nursing school and graduated with her MSN from Yale School of Nursing in 2016. After working as a bedside nurse in pediatric oncology and transplant, she transitioned to the adult population when she joined the University of Colorado's Blood Cancer team in 2016. She serves on a variety of committees within UCH and the University of Colorado, including the planning committees for the Blood Cancer Boot Camp and the APP Oncology Summit in Denver. She has presented at national conferences and been published in JADPRO regarding her expertise in blood cancers. Ms. Beaton is also a guest lecturer at the CU School of Nursing. When not working, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family.
