Heather Koniarczyk, MSN, APRN-CNP, AOCNP
Heather earned a BSN from Kent State University in 2006 and worked at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center as an RN in Hem/Onc and BMT from 2007-2011. In 2011, she earned a MSN from Case Western Reserve University and joined the BMT Program at the Cleveland Clinic as a Nurse Practitioner. During her time working with the BMT department, she published multiple review and case report articles and authored several chapters in hematology/oncology textbooks.
She has been in a leadership role at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center in Cleveland, Ohio, managing the inpatient Hem/Onc services from 2016-2019 in which she developed multiple patient safety and cost saving projects as well as publishing and presenting. She has been an active member of APSHO since 2019 and invited as a member to the Professional Development and Leadership committee in 2022.
In 2019 Heather was named the Director of Advanced Practice for the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center. With her team, she has developed an APP fellowship program to support new APP in Oncology and Palliative Care, Implemented a strategy for APP Antineoplastic prescribing and developed an urgent care clinic within the cancer center. She has been involved in multiple quality and business operations related projects, improving access to care for patients within the cancer center.
