Senior Vice President, Clinical Programs and Education Susan is responsible for all clinical program, education and training services, including in-person, telephonic, and digital support, all critical components of the $50 million in free services CSC provides patients and their loved ones each year. She has spent her career in oncology and palliative care working in for-profit community cancer centers as well as in academic hospitals and hospice settings.
She has focused her career on building robust supportive care oncology programs which include, psychosocial research, integrated psychosocial support, advanced illness coordination and post-treatment survivorship. She is particularly interested in how resiliency models and positive psychology interventions can increase well-being, enhance life satisfaction, and personal growth and change. She was the 2010 recipient of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society’s “Outstanding Clinical Care Award.”
