Psychiatrist
Praxis Dr Muret
Zurich, Switzerland
Marc Muret, MD, is a psychiatrist working in Zurich, Switzerland. He became very early interested in holistic mental healing (e.g., nutrition, massage, kinesiology, homeopathy). 2002 after he discovered the world of psychotraumatology, he started integrating different tools of Brief Therapy – EMDR, Debriefing, EFT, NLP, and Hypnosis. He was very early interested in Art Therapy and Creativity, publishing a book about Art Therapy in 1983 (Paris) and leading many workshops in the field of creativity. After his comprehensive training in psychotraumatology, he developed a dissociative therapy technology that he showed at the ISSTD annual conference in Washington (2009) as “Dissociative Technique to Treat Dissociation.” 2011 he created EFT3, a method combining tapping, hypnosis, and visualization, that he presented at the ESTD conferences as “EFT3, a dissociative technique of integration” at the Third European Conference of the ESTD, Berlin (Germany). 2014 “Creating a Visual Teaching of Dissociation that People can understand” and “The good dissociation.” Forth European Conference of the ESTD, Kopenhagen.
More recently, Dr. Muret has been focusing on sampling and developing different self-help and self-care techniques, allowing patients to become self-sufficient. Therapists, too, need tools to self-regulate quickly without waiting for supervision. This approach, demonstrated in a series of interactive ISSTD webinars (2020-2021), is based on the “Triple Energy States Model.” This didactic model offers a precise targeting of therapeutic interventions and a more accurate integration of neurosciences and therapy. Parallel to his therapeutic work centered on psychotrauma, burnout, and neurodiversity, he has kept an intensive interest in the fast-developing neurosciences literature. He wants to share his knowledge with eager learning practitioners.
