Dr. Qin is a Medical Oncologist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematlogy and Medical Oncology at UT Southwestern with a focus on genitourinary malignancies. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and Asian Studies at Rice University and medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital and gained advanced training through a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
Dr. Qin returned to Texas and joined UT Southwestern as Eugene P. Frenkel, M.D. Scholar in Clinical Medicine endowed Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Her clinical specialization includes kidney, prostate, bladder, and testicular cancers and her research goals are to identify novel biomarkers, therapeutics, and therapeutic combinations in the setting of early phase clinical trials.
