Ted is a certified professional soil scientist with more than 30 years of experience in natural resources management and restoration, including extensive experience in stormwater management and ecosystem restoration. Ted has contributed to the development of soil and plant management strategies in both urban and rural landscape projects, including research and design of stormwater infiltration systems in BMPs, plant establishment and maintenance, and construction techniques to develop and maintain successful, sustainable soil profiles. His experience includes working with the professional design teams for the design and construction of native landscapes at the George W. Bush Library in Dallas, the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial (Arch) in St. Louis, Memorial Park Prairie Restoration and Connector Bridge in Houston, Port Lands Flood Protection river alignment and park space in Toronto, Ontario, Tulsa's Gathering Place Park, and many other properties throughout the United States. Ted has had the great opportunity for exploring new options for soil restoration and successful plant establishment and along the way has learned from many, many amazing professionals in erosion control and landscape architecture. Ted has developed and conducted several workshops for the design and construction of stormwater BMPs, native landscapes, sustainable cities, and soil restoration and management. Ted has a B.S. degree in Biology/Plant Physiology from Northern Arizona University and M.S. degree in Soil Science from Kansas State University.
