Mr. Burger is a registered professional geologist and engineering geologist with 17 years of professional experience. Mr. Burger has CPESC, SPRAT, specialized safety training certifications. He has extensive experience providing exploration management and implementation for geotechnical investigations, geologic review, hazard assessments, and QA/QC during construction and the installation of geosynthetics and erosion/sediment control measures throughout the Bay Area and California. His expertise is in subsurface exploration, instrumentation, and geologic mapping/interpretation; providing construction quality assurance, geologic/geotechnical observation and review services during construction; and site characterization. Mr. Burger’s experience includes more than 12 years’ experience performing and managing geotechnical exploration programs for Bay Area levees, dams, commercial and private developments, landslide, and public infrastructure projects. Dave’s relevant project experience includes: managing the subsurface exploration of over 18 miles of Alameda County Flood Control levees, subsurface exploration for improvements to various channels and levees for SCVWD, geologic support for design and construction of the new 1,000 acre-foot Upper Sand Creek Flood Control Basin and Dam for Contra Costa Flood Control, and completion geologic hazard assessments following the 2020 wildfires.
