The S&P committee facilitates the creation, understanding, adoption, and maintenance of a design standards for sediment controls employed on construction sites through: (1) the creation of a design standard(s) based on existing design guidance, models, and engineering principles; (2) promoting the adoption and implementation of sediment control design standards; and (3) providing advisement, resources, and support to the IECA Professional Development Committee for the development of training courses.
