Dr. Travis Sanchez is a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology of the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. He obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1994 and his Master of Public Health from Emory University in 2000. His public health background includes infectious disease epidemiology at state and local agencies as well as domestic and international sexual health research at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has been with Emory University since 2011 and currently leads research on technology-based sexual health epidemiology and prevention. He has particular interest and expertise in research with young lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons. Dr. Sanchez is also editor-in-chief of the open-access journal JMIR Public Health and Surveillance.
