Anna Turkova is a research clinician at the Medical Research Council Clinical Trial Unit at UCL, London, and an Honorary Consultant Paediatrician at the Great Ormond Street Hospital. Anna is a trial physician in several large international paediatric HIV and TB randomised controlled trials (including recently published ODYSSEY and SHINE) and provides clinical input in observational multi-centre studies. She is the Chief Investigator of the D3 trial, a multi-country randomised trial comparing Dual Therapy with dolutegravir co-formulated with lamivudine vs. Standard of Care in virologically suppressed children. She has been working with Paediatric European Network for Treating AIDS and other Infectious Diseases (Penta) since 2011, and has been teaching on Penta training courses in Eastern and Western Europe, Central Asia and Africa. Anna is one of the authors of the Penta Guidelines for Treatment of Paediatric HIV 2015-2022. She is a member of WHO HIV Guidelines Development Group, WHO-led Child and Adolescent TB Working Group, Paediatric Antiretroviral Working Group (PAWG), Paediatric Working Group on Viral Hepatitis (PWGH) and Paediatric Antiretroviral Drug Optimisation (PADO).
