Dr. Bridget K. McCabe is a dual board-certified physician and Vice President of Enterprise Clinical Quality and Informatics at Teladoc Health, where she is scaling clinical quality across the national and international network of virtual providers. She also serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Teladoc’s Patient Safety Organization (PSO). During COVID-19, she co-led Teladoc’s pandemic response and worked closely with her international counterpart and with federal and business coalitions around the national response efforts.
Prior, Dr. McCabe served as Senior Medical Director and Head of Predictive Analytics and Quality Measures at Aetna/ActiveHealth Management, where she led product development teams in creating innovative, personalized clinical decision support tools and predictive modeling algorithms to target population health opportunities. Dr. McCabe also has held executive leadership positions in state government and public health; she was the founding Director of the Office of Quality Improvement & Patient Safety for public health and primary care clinics run by the state, chaired the state universal newborn screening advisory committee, and chaired the Tennessee Department of Health’s Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Dr. McCabe is a licensed pediatrician with fellowship training in health services/clinical effectiveness research and quality improvement. She is board certified in pediatrics and clinical informatics and holds a Medical Doctorate with distinction in the field of neuroscience, and a Master of Public Health in Clinical Effectiveness from Harvard University. She completed her internship and residency training at Children’s Hospital Boston; She also completed a Harvard Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship in General Pediatrics at the Center for Child and Adolescent Health Policy at Massachusetts General Hospital.
