Julie Ann Justo is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and practices as an Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC. She is also the Program Director of the Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Fellowship Program at Prisma Health Richland Hospital/University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Dr. Justo received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency and an Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Fellowship with a Masters in Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is currently a core member of the Prisma Health-Midlands Antimicrobial Stewardship and Support Team and the Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative of South Carolina (ASC-SC), as well as a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist with Added Qualifications in Infectious Diseases and a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). Her research interests include gram-negative bacterial infections, outcomes in antimicrobial stewardship, and healthcare education. She is active in numerous professional organizations, including serving as a recent past board member for the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP).
