I am a member of the American Board of Pediatrics – Subboard of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (2020-25) responsible for developing the initial certifying, Maintenance of Certification or MOC, Maintenance of Certification Assessment for Pediatrics or MOCA-Peds and Subspecialty In-Training Examination or SITE examinations.
I am a member of the credentialing exam item writer for the American Academy of HIV Medicine (2019-20) which is an HIV-focused professional certifications offered domestically and internationally to medical providers specializing in advanced level HIV care.
I am a member of the newly established Inclusion, Diversity, Access and Equity (IDA&E) Task Force nationally of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (2020-21) and I head the Pediatric Inclusion and Diversity Focus Group at our Department of Pediatrics locally since July 2020.
I recently accepted last April 2021 the position of Vice Chair of Pediatrics for Diversity and Inclusion at the Children's of Mississippi Hospital.
I serve as a member of the International Affairs Committee of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society (2018-22).
I am the program director for the QI project intended to prevent COVID-19 infections among children with HIV infections and in HIV-exposed infants through harm reductions tools funded through Human Resources and Services Administration or HRSA (H1XHA36981).
This November 2021 I will start serving the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) – Section of International Medical Graduates (SOIMG) as one of its Executive Committee member
