Dr. Holland is Associate Professor of Medicine in Infectious Diseases at Emory University and is also the the Chief Clinical Officer for the Fulton County Board of Health in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed medical school and residency training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, following which he served as the TB clinician for the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness in Atlanta, where he cared for over 500 adults and children with active and suspected tuberculosis. He left Atlanta in 2006 to complete his fellowship training Infectious Diseases at Duke University. After five additional years on Duke’s faculty, Dr. Holland returned to Atlanta in 2014 to join the faculty at Emory University.
Dr. Holland currently supervises the Sexual Health, Tuberculosis, and HIV Programs for Fulton County, where he has overseen initiatives such as the launch of the first health department-based PrEP Clinic in the Southeast as well as the rapid entry to HIV care program. He also oversees the medical aspects of epidemic response for Fulton County, responsible for vaccinating over 500,000 individuals for COVID-19 and over 6,000 people for monkeypox.
