Julia Pilat Schliff is an AANP Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and US Army Veteran. She has been working at the Wound Healing Center at the University of Rochester since 2017 and is certified in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy as an adjunct to traditional wound healing methods. She has strong interests in the role of mental health in wound healing and enjoys volunteering with Team Rubicon on National and International Medical Disaster Relief Operations.
Julia started her career in the public-school sector teaching high school social studies and transitioned to nursing after she returned from her time in Afghanistan and Iraq. Julia attended St. John Fisher College, earning her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2011. After working in the operating room as a Circulating Surgical Nurse and then in Labor and Delivery, Julia was awarded a full scholarship to attend graduate school at St. John Fisher College, earning her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2015.
