Blaine Mathison is currently a Research Parasitologist with the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Pathology at ARUP Laboratories, Salt Lake City, UT. Mr. Mathison has been doing diagnostic parasitology for over 20 years, including assignments at the Institute of Parasitology at the Czech Academy of Sciences in the Czech Republic, the Arizona Department of Health, the Phoenix Veterans Administration (Phoenix, AZ), and the Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Atlanta, GA). Mr. Mathison publishes and lectures regularly on a variety of topics related to both Parasitology and Entomology, including taxonomy, biology, diagnostics, pathology, and case reports. His specialties include unusual and zoonotic helminth infections and arthropods of medical importance.
