Nanda Ramchandar graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2009 with a BS in Chemistry. He obtained his MD, MPH from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2013. He completed a pediatrics residence at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in 2016 and was a Staff Pediatrician at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton until 2018. He completed a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease at the University of California San Diego in 2021 and is now staff at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego. He is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda and a Voluntary Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California San Diego.
