Hello! My name is Hayley Cunningham (she/her), and I am excited to share what I know about gender affirming care from a learner's perspective. I am a 1st year infectious diseases fellow at Duke University Hospital, with an interest in HIV treatment and prevention, as well as transgender medicine. During residency, I enjoyed working in Duke's Gender Medicine Clinic with Dr. Carly Kelley (endocrinology), conducting research on perceptions of PrEP among the LGBTQIA+ community, giving lectures on transgender medicine, and designing and teaching training sessions for select Duke staff members. I am excited to incorporate HIV care and transgender medicine into my future career and continue sharing my experiences and insights with others.
