Nilesh is orignally from the Bay area in Northern California. He completed his B.S. in Biochemistry at UCLA and then attended Chicago Medical School to complete his M.D. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the UCLA-San Fernando Valley Program and Infectious Disease Fellowship with the UCLA Infectious Disease Program. He currently operates a solo-private practice in Infectious Disease in North Los Angeles County since 2006. In 2021, he completed his Masters in Business Administration at Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business. He is an active council member of the Infectious Disease Society of California. In addition, he has servied on the Clinical Affairs Committee and is currrently a member of the IDWeek Planning Committee for IDSA. He resides in Valencia, CA with his wife and three children.
