I am April Nguyen, currently a visiting graduate research fellow affiliated with the Houston Methodist Research Institute in Houston, TX USA. My research focuses on daptomycin resistance in enterococci. Specifically, I am elucidating the mechanism of membrane adaptation in these organisms and the role of cardiolipin synthase in potentially mediating this effect.
