My name is Hira Hasan and I'm a third year medical student at Louisiana State Univeristy Health Science Center (LSUHSC) School of Medicine in New Orleans. I am new to IDSA, but I am very excited to present a project I've worked very hard on over the past year and a half with my mentor, Dr. Lauren Richey. Optimal care of patients with HIV is vital to the health and well-being of the New Orleans community, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to contribute some insight into this important issue.
