Alita Miller is the interim Chief Scientific Officer at Entasis Therapeutics, a small biotech outside of Boston dedicated to the discovery and development of novel antibacterial agents to treat serious infections caused by drug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria. Alita has over 20 years of experience in antimicrobial research, first at Pfizer where she led both large and small molecule discovery projects and then at AstraZeneca, where she was Head of Microbial Genetics and Genomics. Alita obtained a BA in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College, a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago and postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan.
