Megan A Rech is an emergency medicine clinical pharmacist and research coordinator for the department of emergency medicine at Loyola University Medical Center. After graduating from LECOM School of Pharmacy, she completed a PGY-1 residency at Henry Ford Hospital and PGY-2 critical care residency at RUSH University Medical Center/Midwestern University. She also received a Master of Science in Clinical Research Methods and Epidemiology from Loyola University Chicago. Additionally, she is the research coordinator for the pharmacy department and the PGY-2 critical care residency program director. She has been an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacists (ACCP) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) for several years. She is currently serving on the 2022 ACCP Program Committee and as Member at Large for the SCCM’s Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Section. She has over 70 peer-reviewed publications and broad research interests pertaining to pharmacotherapy in critically and emergently ill patients. Additionally, she co-founded the Emergency Medicine PHARMacotherapy research NETwork (EMPHARM-NET), whose goal is to pursue high quality research pertaining to emergency medicine pharmacotherapy.
