Dr. Ted Louie attended the CUNY 7 year combined BS-MD program, completing his MD at SUNY Stony Brook. He went on to residency at Stony Brook and then to ID fellowship at University of Maryland. From 1996-2019, he was in private practice in New Jersey. He joined the infectious disease faculty at University of Rochester in 2019, where he holds the rank of Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, and serves as the Clinical Director for the Division of Infectious Diseases. His interests include antimicrobial stewardship, OPAT, orthopedic infections, telemedicine, and wound care. He is on the editorial staff of Infectious Diseases in Clinical Practice. All told, he has over 50 publications in peer reviewed journals. He also has over 11 years of wound care experience at 4 different outpatient wound centers.
