Dr. Cassino has over 20 years of experience as a clinician and industry executive with extensive drug development experience with 20+ successful regulatory submissions/approvals in the US and globally. Dr. Cassino currently serves as EVP of R&D, and Chief Medical Officer at ContraFect Corporation. Preceding this, she was SVP of Global Clinical Development at Forest Laboratories, Inc., where she oversaw across 4 therapeutic areas, including Anti-infectives and was responsible for clinical development of over 35 compounds and had a key role in M&A activities leading to closure of several multi-billion dollar deals. Prior to this, Dr. Cassino held senior positions at Pfizer, including Global Medical Team Leader of Pfizer's antibacterial franchise and Medical Development Group VP of Pulmonary Vascular and Rare Diseases. She served as Executive Medical Director of the US respiratory franchise at Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Before joining industry, Cassino was Assistant Professor New York University.
