Scott A. Van Wart, M.S., Ph.D serves as Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at Enhanced Pharmacodynamics, LLC (ePD) in Buffalo, NY. Scott received both a M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from SUNY at Buffalo under the supervision of Dr. Donald E. Mager, where his research involved systems-level modeling of electrolyte disorders and multi-drug treatment regimens. Scott has almost 25 years of drug development experience in several therapeutic areas, with extensive population PK and translational PK-PD work in infectious diseases while a member of the Institute for Clinical Pharmacodynamics (ICPD). In 2015, Scott founded a start-up company ePD which assists clients with the design and implementation of model-informed drug development strategies in immunology and oncology. ePD focuses on leveraging the knowledge derived from the application of advanced pharmacometric and cutting-edge systems pharmacology techniques to guide dose selection and provide timely decision-making results during drug development. Scott is the author or co-author of over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications, primarily involving population PK, mechanistic PK-PD, and systems pharmacology applications. Scott has also served as an Adjunct Professor teaching biometry in the School of Pharmacy Practice at SUNY at Buffalo.
