Dr. Mozaffari is a Senior Director in the Department of Medical Affairs Research at Gilead Sciences Inc. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the California at San Francisco (UCSF) where he also completed a Clinical Pharmacy Residency. He was also on the clinical faculty at UCSF as the Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy with a focus on General Internal Medicine. He has completed a post-doctoral fellowship in pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research at the University of Washington, where he also received his Masters in Public Health from the School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Department of Health Services, with a focus on Health Care Management and Health Economics. He also obtained a masters degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University. He has over 25 years of experience in conducting evidence-based research using real-world datasets across a number of therapeutic areas including infectious diseases. As a research methodologist, his particular emphasis has been on observational health outcomes and economic research.
