Dr. Emily Ko is an Assistant Professor in General Internal Medicine, Program in Hospitalist Medicine at Duke University. She completed an MD/PhD program at Stanford University in 2006. Her long standing research interest are studying the variation between clinical and biological responses to pathogens to inform biomarker development and patient care. Her clinical home is at Duke Regional Hospital, a community hospital in the Duke Health System network. In 2020, she helped develop her community hospital as a research site for the Duke Health System in an effort to provide community access to COVID-19 clinical trials.
