Kristen Whelchel, PharmD, CSP is a clinical pharmacist with the Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy (VSP). She joined the VSP team in 2017 and her practice is focused on viral hepatitis and HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis. Dr. Whelchel received her Doctor of Pharmacy (2003) from Mercer University School of Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA. She completed a community pharmacy residency (2004) with Mercer University School of Pharmacy and Regan's Home Care Pharmacy. Dr. Whelchel is currently a preceptor for student pharmacist completing advance pharmacy practice rotations and residents completing a specialty pharmacy practice residency with VSP. She is a member of the Tennessee Pharmacists Association and the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy where she serves on the Education Committee.
