Anna K. Person, MD, FIDSA, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She previously served as the Program Director for the Infectious Diseases Fellowship program and now serves as the Director of Education and Faculty Development in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt. She has been active in IDSA and HIVMA for the last 10 years, and currently serves as the co-Chair of the Ryan White Medical Providers Coalition and on the Executive Committee of the Medical Education Community of Practice. She has been elected to a 3 year term of the HIVMA Board of Directors. She also serves as the Clinical Director of the Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center. Her clinical interests include medical education, advocacy, caring for transgender individuals living with HIV, and HIV clinical outcomes in Latin America. She and her husband raise 5 children and in her spare time she enjoys trail running.
