Dr. Banach is an Associate Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the Hospital Epidemiologist for UConn Health. His academic interests focus on the epidemiology of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae and strategies for improving antibiotic use in inpatient and outpatient settings. He is a member of the SHEA Education and Publications committees and Vice President of the Connecticut Infectious Diseases Society.
