Audrey Brezak is a healthcare-associated infections epidemiologist at the Washington State Department of Health. She works on the prevention and control of infections in healthcare settings; these days, she is mostly working with long-term care and other healthcare facilities to contain COVID-19 outbreaks and offer infection prevention and control support. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked at Public Health - Seattle & King County as an HIV epidemiologist and was deployed to the long-term care and outpatient COVID-19 response from March 2020 - August 2020. In September 2020, she moved to the Washington State Department of Health to cover the NW region of Washington State. Previously, she was a CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow at the Hawaii Department of Health on the Healthcare-Associated Infections Team.
