Dr. Rattanaporn Mahatanan was born in Thailand. She obtained her medical degree from Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. After graduation, she had worked in the underserved area in the south of Thailand for 3 years. She moved to the United States to pursue her internal medicine residency at Metrowest Medical Center, Framingham, Massachusetts. She worked as a hospitalist in an acute care hospital in Maine after her residency and obtained her MPH degree from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health while working full-time as a hospitalist. After serving 7 years in rural Maine, she decided to advance her career by pursuing a fellowship. She is currently an infectious disease and leadership preventive medicine resident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH. Dr. Mahatanan is a member of Infectious Disease Society of American and board certified by American Board of Internal Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and running in summer and skiing/snowboarding in winter.
