Voon Ong is Executive Director, Preclinical Development/Clinical Pharmacology at Cidara Therapeutics, and has over 20 years of experience in the ADME/PK/Bioanalytical areas, with the last 10 years primarily supporting anti-infective drug discovery and development. Throughout his career, Dr. Ong has led groups that provide pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics support to aid in the translation of PK/PD from preclinical to clinical development. Prior to Cidara, Dr. Ong made significant contributions at Trius Therapeutics that resulted in advancements of multiple preclinical candidates from various discovery programs as well as the effort that led to the approval of Sivextro®.
